[soliloquy id="2513"]

In the framework of the field study for one of our courses, namely the Introduction of Biotechnology. On Friday, precisely on April 26, 2019, We went to visit the Artificial Insemination Center and Manoko Experimental Garden located in Lembang, Bandung.

At the Artificial Insemination Center, we got a lot of information about the Artificial Insemination Process to produce Frozen Cement in livestock such as dairy cows, beef cattle, goats and superior sheep. Livestock kept in this place are certified males which are the result of selection and testing, namely the zuriat test in dairy cows and performance tests on beef cattle, in here also routinely carry out replacements in order to produce productive males. In addition, we were lucky because we were able to directly go down to the field to witness the process of marrying cows so that later it would get sperm to be made into frozen cement.

While at the Manoko Experimental Garden, we got a lot of information about how the process of using cow manure is used as residual biogas or pulp for organic fertilizer and casting. In this place also, we were able to find out various types of medicinal plants starting from the classification, benefits, forms, methods of utilization and also the chemicals contained in these medicinal plants. Various kinds of medicinal plants are found here such as seraiwangi, patchouli, vetiver, cinnamon, burmani, and clove.
