Socialization of MKKF Course 2020
Dr. Ida Kaniawati as the team leader of STEM Course presented the theme Food and Transportation. This course aims to improve the scientific and social skills of the first batch of FPMIPA students.
The meeting was introduced by receiving the feedbacks from the lecturers. They commented regarding the course activities by students in the previous semester. Dr. Ida highlighted that this course was intended to improve the skills of students. Most of lecturers appreciated the efforts by the MKKF team producing the module of MKKF 1 and 2.
The students were exercised to identify the daily problems. They have to survey surrounding their activities. For example, what we can find the effect of eating fried chicken with certain ingrediences. Furthermore, they planned the scheme to provide the solution towards the identified problems.
The course also contributed to solve the daily problems in society. Regarding the theme of food problem, after the student have found the solution, they were suggested to clarify their solution idea at the place they found the problems. At the end, the video, animation, leaflet, or poster was chosen as the alternative way to publish their creative idea.
The evaluation included the peer assessment, survey study result, prototype, report, and communication skills. Moreover, the semester plan was discussed. The meeting was followed by the question and answer.
